As the iPad restaurant menu trend picks up, bespoke, personalized solutions are the key to satisfying higher guest expectations. Below are 3 Vegas restaurants that are taking digital restaurant menu designs to the next level with inventive guest experiences.

Beverage Roulette Wheel

Jaleo, 3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Award-winning Jaleo restaurant needed something bold to elude the excitement and spectacle of Sin City at their Vegas location. Their spin on the SmartCellar interactive restaurant experience? A full-screen roulette wheel for those who feel lucky. Up to 12 guests can take turns spinning the wheel, and are offered a recommended beverage based on where the ball lands when the wheel stops. The custom design adds a playfulness that sets the mood for spending and gives the guest something to have fun with at the table.

Swipe Functionality

Vice Versa, Vdara Hotel & Spa, 2600 W Harmon Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Vdara’s lobby bar displays two concepts in one: From the Vice side of the menu, ‘sinful’ twists on old favorites (think Sunset in Moscow with Belvedere pink grapefruit vodka). On the flip side, more traditional fare and libations, such as a classic Moscow Mule. To keep choice at the forefront of their SmartCellar interactive dining experience, Vice Versa used swipe design. Guests can swipe left for one menu concept or right for something totally different. This allows guests to browse in a simple, playful way that’s true to the restaurant brand.

Cocktail Cover Flow

Giada at the Cromwell, 3595 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

When Giada De Laurentiis opened her first restaurant at the Cromwell in Las Vegas, the SmartCellar design team focused on creating a visual experience that reflected the spirit of Giada's California-inspired Italian cuisine. To do, they implemented a cocktail cover flow that lets guests scroll through a visual compilation of featured libations. By clicking a cocktail image, guests are presented with details on the drink. Because of the cover flow’s visual nature, SmartCellar clients have seen as much as 60% growth in sales after adding this feature to their menu designs.
